Other prospects

The group has made a number of other prospecting rights applications, in particular for a 421-hectare extension to the Delmas Project area and a 1 718-hectare extension to the Sterkfontein Project area. Both of these applications have been accepted by the DME and approval is awaited, although not assured.

The group’s strategy is currently limited to pursuing consolidation opportunities contiguous to the large, long-life projects and additional projects for the smaller, short-life project portfolio. The additional projects for the smaller, short-life portfolio will be sought through joint ventures, acquisitions and new prospecting right applications.
